Phenomenal Finale

Thailand Phil ends its season in style with the tale of two cities. Gershwin’s American in Paris describes the dazzle and excitement of visiting the City of Love. Bernstein’s West Side Story is the classic re-telling of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but set in the rough and tumble world of New York City’s gangs. The program opens with Prangcharoen’s best-known work, Phenomenon. The featured soloist on this program is Lana Trotovšek performing Wieniawski’s lyrical and virtuosic Second Violin Concerto.
