Call for New Scores and Soloists

Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) – Call for New Scores and Soloists
Season Program 2026–2027
Future-Being, Well-Orchestra
“Future-Being, Well-Orchestra reflects our belief that the orchestra is both a cultural instrument and a social organism. By bringing together new scores and distinctive performers, we seek artists who approach sound as a shared responsibility—where well-being, difference, and imagination are practiced through writing, listening, and performance.”
Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert
Dean / Executive Director, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra
CALL FOR SCORES
Entering the 2026–2027 season under the new artistic direction of Executive Director Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert, the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) invites composers to contribute new orchestral works that reflect diverse voices, forward-looking ideas, and expansive musical imaginations.
With the season theme Future-Being, Well-Orchestra, TPO seeks to explore how orchestral music can engage with questions of humanity, well-being, cultural plurality, and the future role of the orchestra in a rapidly changing world. This call embraces a broad artistic spectrum—from classical to contemporary, traditional to experimental, and from musical complexity to sound as a space of care and moving-forward culture.
TPO is particularly interested in works that expand and re-examine established musical perspectives, foreground voices from Southeast Asia and beyond, and propose new ways of listening, performing, and being together through orchestral music. Selected works will become part of TPO’s evolving repertoire and its long-term artistic vision.
This project is made possible through the generous support of Khun Charak Trangadisaikul, Board Member of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. We are deeply grateful to Khun Charak for this opportunity to help foster and advance the new music scene in Thailand.

CALL FOR SOLOIST PROPOSALS
For the 2026–2027 season, under the artistic direction of Executive Director Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert, the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) invites soloists to submit concert program proposals that contribute to the orchestra’s evolving artistic vision.
While TPO’s Call for Scores focuses on expanding the orchestra’s repertoire through newly commissioned works, this Call for Soloists seeks to identify distinctive performers who can bring compelling artistic perspectives and thoughtfully curated programs that support living composers and contemporary artistic practice. Proposals may include existing contemporary works, reimagined classical repertoire, or collaborative projects with composers.
TPO welcomes proposals that position the soloist not only as a featured performer, but also as a creative partner in shaping meaningful, forward-looking orchestral programs.
This project is made possible through the generous support of Khun Charak Trangadisaikul, Board Member of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. We are deeply grateful to Khun Charak for this opportunity to help foster and advance the new music scene in Thailand.
