[POSTPONED] The Planets
The planets of our solar system are places of breathtaking wonder. They are familiar from a distance but the experience of being there is mystery. In this concert the Thailand Phil takes you on a musical voyage into outer space accompanied by cinematic motion graphics created by the Mahidol International College’s Communication Design program. This program also features our principal trombone player, Michael Robinson, Jr., performing Bourgeois’s virtuosic Trombone Concerto.
ในอวกาศมีดวงดาว ในดวงดาวมีตำนาน และตำนานสร้างเสียงเพลง The Planets ของ กุสตาฟ โฮลสต์ คืองานชั้นคลาสสิกที่เป็นที่รักของนักฟังทุกรุ่น ถ่ายทอดตำนานและบรรยากาศของดาวเคราะห์ในระบบสุริยะผ่านเสียงจากวงออร์เคสตรา นี่คืองานที่ทรงอิทธิพลสูงต่อนักแต่งเพลงภาพยนตร์ในยุคถัดๆ มา การแสดงมาพร้อมกับงานกราฟฟิกที่สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นใหม่โดยคณาจารย์และนักศึกษาของวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ ม.มหิดล นอกจากนี้ หัวหน้ากลุ่มทรอมโบนของเรา ไมเคิล โรบินสัน จูเนียร์ จะมาบรรเลงเดี่ยวทรอมโบนให้คุณฟังในครึ่งแรกกันด้วย
