It has been said that invisible threads are the strongest ties, and so it is with this program. The first half is tied together by two threads: two composers and soloist all from Poland, and two world premieres. TPO proudly presents its own Grzegorz Grzeszczyk in a groundbreaking new work for bass clarinet and orchestra, and also presents an exciting new work by our own Music Director, Narong Prangcharoen. Rounding out the first half is a short vignette from Francis Ford Coppola’s film Dracula. On the second half Maestro Delta David Gier will bring to life Shostakovich’s triumphant Fifth Symphony.
สองนักประพันธ์ชาวโปแลนด์นำเสนอสองผลงานในคอนเสิร์ตครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ ดนตรีประกอบภาพยนตร์ “Dracula” โดย Wojciech Kilar และ งานของ Nikola Kolodziejczyk คือคอนแชร์โตสำหรับเบสคลาริเน็ต ซึ่งเป็นคลาริเน็ตเครื่องใหญ่ เสียงต่ำทุ้ม สามารถบรรเลงเสียงนุ่มนวลไปจนถึงคำรามเกรี้ยวกราด แสดงโดย Grzegorz Grzeszczyk นักเบสคลาริเน็ตชาวโปแลนด์ประจำวง Thailand Phil ปิดท้ายการแสดงด้วยซิมโฟนีอันโด่งดังของชอสตาโกวิช
