An Alpine Symphony

An Epic Conclusion to Our 20th Season
For our season finale, TPO invites you on an awe-inspiring ascent with Richard Strauss’s monumental Alpine Symphony. Music Director Designate Carl St.Clair leads more than 100 musicians in a breathtaking portrayal of nature’s power and majesty. Strauss captures every moment of the climb—the hushed anticipation of a pre-dawn departure, the shimmer of snow-capped peaks, the roar of rushing waterfalls, the triumphant arrival at the summit, and the thunderous storm that drives us back down the mountainside. At last, we return safely home, spent, yet exhilarated by the day’s adventure. The journey begins with Mozart’s Haffner Symphony, a brilliant and festive work brimming with energy and spirit, perfectly setting the stage for the afternoon.
Before the performance, join us in the lobby for a special presentation announcing Carl St.Clair as the next Music Director of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.
