<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;The Story of Long-Gone Animals&#8221; is a newly composed opera in Thai Language. It is about a teenager who is sick of taking medicine. She has no hope to live until one day, her life has been changed forever by a visit of a Dodo bird who comes to bring her to the land of the extinct animals. The opera will be perform in Thai by the Thai opera singers with English subtitle. Continue with Korsakov&#8217;s Scheherazade, full with imagination and colorful theme, based on the Book of One Thousand and One nights.</p>

<h2>Boris Brovtsyn (Violin)</h2>
<p>Boris Brovtsyn was born in 1977 into a family with deep musical roots. Under the guidance of his grandfather who, himself, was a pupil of Lev Tzeitlin and Abram Yampolsky, he started to play the violin at the age of four. He made his first public appearance at the age of six and his debut with an orchestra took place on Moscow&#8217;s Bolshoi Theatre stage when he as thirteen years old. The following year he was spotted by a scout from the &#8220;New Names&#8221; young talents agency, playing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and, after joining the ranks of the gifted young musicians, became a regular performer on extensive tours of France (1992, at the UNESCO Congress Hall, 1993, at the Opera Comique), Italy (1993, played in front of is Holiness John Paul II at his summer residence), as well as giving numerous concerts throughout Russia and its former Republics.</p>
<p>After graduating from Moscow&#8217;s Central Music School in 1994 he entered the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory where he studied with Maya Glezarova. During his time there he became a laureate of international competitions, such as Georg Kulenkampf (1994, Cologne), Transnet (1996, Pretoria) and Yehudi Menuhin (1998), before graduating with  top honours in 1999.</p>
<p>As a soloist, Boris has worked with, among others, Alain Lombard, Yuri Bashmet, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Gilbert Varga, Marek Yanovsky, Alexander Lazarev, Vassily Sinaisky, Vladimir Fedoseev, Pavel Kogan, Arvo Volmer, Mark Gorenshtein, Edward Gardner and Gerd Albrecht.</p>
<p>The orchestras he has played with include Berliner Rundfunk, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de  Monte-Carlo, Utah Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre de la Suisse Italienne, Strasbourg Philharmonic, Orchestre National de Lille, Moscow State Chamber Orchestra, Sao Paulo Philharmonic, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Estonian National  Orchestra, Bulgarian Radio Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Liege, Russian State Symphony Orchestra and the Moscow Soloists. He has performed at Verbier Festival, Edinburgh Festival, Utrecht Festival and Jerusalem Festival, among others, playing chamber music with the likes of Misha Maisky, Gidon Kremer, Julian Rakhlin,   Janine Jansen, Sharon Kam, Emmanuel Pahud, Alexei Ogrintchouk and Denis Matsuev.</p>
<p>In 2001 he was a finalist at the Queen Elizabeth Violin Competition and won the 2001 Reuters Prize. The following year he won the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition in Switzerland.</p>
<p>Boris made his UK debut in 1998 with the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Rumon Gamba. He became a student of David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2000 and since then has been spending most of his time in the UK. In 2004 he won the GSMD&#8217;s highest award, the Gold Medal (past winners include Jacqueline du&#8217;Pre, Tasmin Little and Bryn Terfel).</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Famous for its beautiful lyricism in the second movement, concerto by the Czech composer Dvořák was once refused to be played by violinist Joachim, whom the concerto was written for. Consisted of a theme, 8 variations and a finale, TPO present the piece by Brahms, which based on a theme by Haydn.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Jana Vonášková Nováková, Violin</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Jana Vonášková Nováková grew up in a family atmosphere full of love for music and the arts, and so in her early childhood she had already acquired a positive feel for music. At the age of five she started to learn to play the violin. From 1994 to 2000 she studied at the Prague Conservatory under Professor Jindřich Pazdera. In March 2000 she won the &#8220;Talent of the Year&#8221; competition in Prague, with a prize of a year&#8217;s study at the Royal College of Music in London. A further success was winning an Orpheus Scholarship, which enabled her to continue her studies under the supervision of Professor Felix Andrievsky.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">She entered major international K.lipinskí and H.Wieniawskí competition for young violinists in Lublin, Poland in 2000, and emerged as the overall winner. A year later she was awarded the European Prize in Strasbourg. In May 2002, after winning the competition held by the Young Concert Artists Trust in London, she was taken onto the books of the Trust agency.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Jana Vonášková Nováková has performed in many parts of Europe, giving solo concerts in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, in Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Norway, Great Britain, France, Poland and Byelorussia. She is a frequent guest on radio and television programmes both in the Czech Republic and abroad.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">She has appeared in leading concert halls such as Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Harewood Hall, and Kettles Yard (Cambridge), at festivals in Bath, Thaxted and Chester, and on other prestigious concert platforms both in the Czech Republis and abroad.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Jana plays a Petr Sedlacek violin, Czech violin maker from Pilsen, of 1992. Since 2003 she has been a member of the Smetana Trio, together with the pianist Jitka čechová and the cellist Jan Páleníček.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">After winning the 1st prize in the 1st Thailand International Piano Competition 2008, the Chinese pianist Tian Lu is back again to present the French composer Saint-Saëns&#8217;s 2nd piano concerto. An orchestration work of &#8220;Tea for Two&#8221; by Shostakovich, the TPO also introduce the Suite for Jazz Orchestra No. 1 &amp; 2, composed in the year of 1934 and 1938.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Tian Lu, Piano</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Chinese pianist Tian Lu has appeared in recitals, chamber music, and orchestral performances in China, Thailand, United States and South America. Tian started piano when she was 4 years old, and finished her high school studying at the Shang Hai Conservatory. She was accepted a full scholarship to the Oberlin Conservatory of Music as a student of Monique Duphil in 2002.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">She was the Liberace Prize winner at 2004. In March 2005, at age 19, Tian was the youngest competitor at the Iowa International Piano Competition, hosted by the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, where she won second prize. In November 2005, Tian received the 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She was invited as a soloist to play with conductor Eduardo Rahn. In 2006, she was invited to perform in the Danenberg Honors recital. At March 2007, she won the 2nd Prize at the Kingsville International Piano competition, also received the 3rd place of Grand prize in this competition. In May 2007, she was invited to play in Washington DC Kennedy center to represent her school Oberlin Conservatory.<br />
Recently, Tian just won the Thailand International Piano Competition 2008, and a month later, Tian got 2nd prize in Southern Missouri International Piano Competition.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Tian has performed in the master class of Russell Sherman, Richard Goode, Emanuel Krasovsky, Andre Bonatta, etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Tian has appeared as soloist with Sioux City National Symphony Orchestra, and Maracaibo Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, she has performed with Maia String Quartet in Sioux City, Dorian String Quartet and numerous other small ensembles.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Tian is also an organist in the Fields Churh, where she served as church organist and pianist for the past five years.</p>

The 15th World Saxophone Congress will be hosted by the College of Music, Mahidol University, with the collaboration of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.</p>
