The 3rd of Liszt’s twelve symphonic poems, Les Préludes is the earliest example for an orchestral work that was performed as “Symphonic Poem”. After wrote and conducted the Don Juan by himself, the 24 years old then Strauss received an international success shortly after its debut. Premiered by the composer himself at a private concert, the piano concerto no. 4 by Beethoven is considered one of the central works of the piano concerto literature.
